Piers Morgan has defended Sharon Osbourne after she received death threats for her show of support for him on The Talk.
Sharon, 68, came under fire after a clash with Cheryl Underwood for saying she supported Pierce after he left Good Morning Britain for allegedly refusing to apologise for his criticism of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Although Sharon said Pierce’s opinion is not hers, she said she supports his right to free speech and supports him as a friend.
After the on-air altercation, Arbor was taken off the air and Sharon was reportedly forced to hire additional security after receiving death threats.
Pyers confirmed on Twitter that Sharon had received threats, adding: It’s true, and it’s so disgusting.

According to TMZ, Sharon was forced to hire additional security after receiving death threats on social media and on her personal phone lines, with trolls threatening her and her dogs.
She also disabled comments on her recent Instagram photos, so trolls couldn’t leave messages there either.
Sharon told Variety that she felt overwhelmed by questions about her support for Pierce after he left GMB.

She stated: I blame the network. I was blinded, completely blinded by the whole situation. This is the first time in 11 years I haven’t done any section planning.
According to the publication, Sharon was asked about eight minutes before the show began if she would like to be interviewed about supporting Pierce.

She continued: I said: Sure, they can ask me anything. But I go in, say what I have to say, and Cheryl immediately turns around, looks at me, and reads the question card.
Sharon said she felt so hurt and unprepared and was surprised that I asked and was unprepared, adding that she was honestly in shock.
