Everson, Corinna, born Corinna “Cory” Everson is an American female bodybuilding champion and actress known from 1984 to 1989 for winning the Ms. Olympia contest six years in a row.
Corinna was born in Racine, Wisconsin, and graduated from Deerfield High School. She went on to the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she excelled in a variety of sports. She met Jeff Everson, a professional bodybuilder who worked as a strength coach at the university, while she was there.
Everson started her fitness and bodybuilding profession after connecting with a buddy who was similarly encouraged to work in weight lifting. Eventually, she and her buddy Jeff Everson, who would later become her husband, worked hand in hand at Madison’s Ernie Gym, where they put in a lot of practice time. When she was with Ms. Mid América in 1980, she put her talent to the test.
Corinna was the winner of the IFBB North American Bodybuilding Contest in 1981. In 1984, she received the Ms. Olympia title. Corinna is the mastermind behind the popular Body-Shaping workout regimen. When she resigned from her carpentry job in 1989, she became a movie star.

She turned to acting after withdrawing from the race, and her first significant film performance was in the 1991 film ‘Double Impact.’ She also appeared in Hercules and a number of other films. Everson was the first woman inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 1999. In 2007, she was also given the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award. She was inducted into the Muscle Beach Body Building Hall of Fame in 2005, and Feathered’s National Fitness Hall of Fame in 2008.
