Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may depart this summer, according to rumours, with the Gunners considering bids for their star attacker.
According to the New York Times, the club may sell its highest-paid player, Mikel Arteta, who is unhappy with the striker’s scoring form.
Arsenal are worried about the Gabon international’s comeback after he missed a number of opportunities during pre-season, and after scoring only 10 goals in 29 Premier League games last season, Arsenal are wary of his return.

- Tottenham Hotspur have entered negotiations with Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, putting them ahead of West Ham United in the race for his signing. Spurs think the 23-year-ability old’s to play both centrally and as a fullback will offer flexibility to their side, according to Sky Sports. The Serbian international’s contract expires in a year, thus Fiorentina may be obliged to sell him to prevent losing him on a free transfer.
- Besiktas are interested in signing Michy Batshuayi, who is now playing in the Premier League. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Turkish Super Lig club has already begun negotiations with the player, who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace and scored only two league goals.
- Calciomercato reports that Internazionale see Joaquin Correa as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku. The Italian Serie A club are keen to further strengthen their side after losing two key players this summer, and talks are reported to have started with Lazio. A fee of around €40m is rumoured to be required to acquire the forward who contributed to 11 goals in 25 starts last season.
- Juventus are considering making an offer for Manuel Locatelli, who would join the Old Lady on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent. According to Le 10 Sport, the potential price for the Sassuolo player, whom Juventus has prioritized this summer, would be €35 million. Since his achievements at Euro 2020 drew the attention of Europe’s top teams, the 23-year-old has been receiving interest from all across the continent.
- Arsenal’s interest in Aaron Ramsdale seems to be waning, with the Mirror claiming that Freddie Woodman of Newcastle United is now the Gunners’ top priority. Sheffield United wanted £30 million for their main goalkeeper, and the London club were unable to agree on a price, but it now seems that sports director Edu has recognized the Newcastle goalie as a potential rival for Bernd Leno.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be part of the long-term future at the club, should they want to sell him. The Gabon international has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer.
