He will speak a year after much of the U.S. economy was crippled by the spread of the virus, and on the same day that he signed the $1.9 trillion Covid 19 bailout.

The federal government has issued guidelines, but essentially leaves it up to the states to determine how they prioritize vaccinating people. A senior government official said the president has the authority to request states, tribes and territories to provide vaccines through the Department of Health and Human Services. The officer gave no further details.

Whether Americans can gather in small groups in early July will depend on the success of the vaccinations, officials said. Sir, I want to thank you for your support. Biden said the United States will have enough supplies for all adult Americans by the end of May. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention release a new report on the 4th before the holidays. July a new guide with recommendations for travel and group activities.

In addition, Biden plans to announce that the government will work to double the number of pharmacies participating in the federal vaccination program, more than double the number of federal mass vaccination centers, provide vaccines to an additional 700 community health centers, deploy an additional 4,000 active military personnel to assist in vaccination efforts, and expand the group of professionals who can administer vaccines to include dentists, veterinarians, medical students, and health care workers.

The government will also launch a new website and call center to help the public find vaccination centers where supplies are available, and provide technical assistance to states to improve their own websites, which most people use to make appointments.

The $1.9 trillion Coronavirus Control Act, which Biden signed into law Thursday, provides for direct payments to many Americans, expansion of assistance to the unemployed and funding for vaccine distribution, in what would be his first major legislative victory as president.

This landmark legislation is about rebuilding the backbone of this country, Biden said Thursday afternoon in the Oval Office, a day after the legislation passed.

This legislation includes approximately $130 billion that will be used to develop the U.S. economy. Mr. Biden’s request for $200,000 to reopen the schools was a hot topic for Mr. Biden. The Department of Education will begin distributing funds this month to help schools implement measures recommended by the CDC to reduce the risk of infection, the administration said. HHS will also provide $650 million to expand testing opportunities for teachers, staff, and students in the eighth and eighth grade.

The bill also provides $1.75 billion for the expansion of genomic sequencing, which the government says will help detect and stop new variants.

Thursday’s speech is expected to mark the beginning of the government’s efforts to publicize the measure, which will include appearances by the president and his top officials across the country. The White House says Biden will travel to Pennsylvania and Georgia next week to discuss the coronavirus issue. Vice President

Kamala Harris.

It also includes funding for schools, vaccine delivery, and state and local governments, strengthening troubled multiemployer pension plans, and key changes to the Affordable Care Act since its passage in 2010.

At 8 p.m., in less than 20 minutes, the president will address how the pandemic has changed the lives of millions of Americans, White House officials said. He will speak about his government’s efforts to provide millions of doses of vaccine. It will also outline the next steps in the fight against the virus, trying to strike a balance between hope for the future and a realistic assessment of the challenges ahead, officials said.

For Biden, the speech is an opportunity to address a deeply divided nation at a critical moment of the pandemic.

After a year of living by the rules of social distancing, many Americans are shocked at the restrictions placed on their activities. Some states, such as. B. Texas, began allowing businesses to open at full capacity and waive the mask requirement, against the advice of health officials. As vaccine stocks increase, the country faces the challenge of distributing vaccines in a timely and consistent manner.

Health officials expect life to slowly return to normal now that most of the population has been vaccinated, but restrictions from the pandemic are likely to continue for some time. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said this week that vaccinated people can get together in small groups with others who have been vaccinated. However, she recommends that vaccinated people continue to wear masks in public places and refrain from travel.

The same day, the World Health Organization announced that the outbreak was a pandemic, and the State Department advised American citizens not to travel abroad.
