This week WWE ex-wrestler Trevor Murdoch revealed that he was sacked by TNA for posting a rant on Twitter about TNA wrestler Taz, a man who Murdoch previously pulled a gun on in a WWE ring, and that he could pay for the damages to the Taz house. Taz was thrilled that he got to speak to his hero on the phone, and was given to dinner and drinks after Murdoch spoke to him. However, Murdoch later changed his mind and told Taz that he would never work for TNA again. Taz was devastated, and later tweeted: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Former WWE star/current TNA agent Trevor Murdoch recently appeared on a recent episode of the ‘Wrestling Inc’ podcast, and while talking about his battle with alcoholism, he revealed that he believed that his battle with alcoholism cost him a job in TNA.
Ex-WWE star Trevor Murdoch has spoken out about how he believes TNA wrestler Taz has cost him work in recent weeks. Murdoch tweeted earlier this week that he had been told by TNA that a conversation he’d had with Taz while the two were on a podcast had cost him work in the company. Murdoch, who claimed Taz had claimed he would only be offered “coming attractions” and said that “Taz can’t be trusted” had made the comments on the podcast, which was hosted by Taz, at the start of this month.

Trevor Murdoch has revealed how a feud with Taz may have lost him TNA Wrestling employment.
The former WWE superstar, who currently works for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), worked for the organization in 2009, when he was mostly utilized as enhancement talent to make other wrestlers seem good.
He remained with the organization for seven months – he didn’t have a contract and instead worked on a handshake, match-by-match basis – and one of his last fights was against Rhino, when a dispute seemed to be the catalyst for his departure.
‘I’m fairly sure the reason TNA stopped utilizing me at the time was because I didn’t have a contract and I was wrestling Rhino,’ he told Metro.co.uk exclusively. Taz had only recently joined the team as a producer, and these were his first few matches.
‘ “Trevor, what’s your finishing move?” Taz says as we’re putting our match together. “Well, I do a top-rope bulldog,” I say. “Oh wow!” he exclaims. For a man your size, that’s very impressive!” It is, and that is why I used it as a finale!
“Well, tonight’s match, can you strike Rhino with your finisher, cover, he kicks out at two?” he says. Pick him up, shoot him, dodge your clothesline, and gore you, one-two-three.”
‘I’m a little obstinate, so I said, “Taz, if there’s anything more you want off the top rope, I’ll perform a gorgeous high crossbody, crap, anything you want me to do.” But I don’t have a job here since I don’t have a contract. “Legitimately, it’s one of two movements that people think of when they see me,” I added. And I don’t want to throw it away, nor do I want to squander it.”
Despite the fact that Taz seemed to be OK with the scenario, Trevor claimed he was soon summoned to a meeting with Terry Taylor, who worked in talent relations at the time.
I get my ass chewed by Terry Taylor because I’m not a business person and I’m being tough, and ‘Taz is in there with Terry. I simply – I know, WWE let me leave, so there wasn’t much anybody could frighten or intimidate me with in terms of business,’ he said.
“Terry, I’m not trying to be nasty or disrespectful in any way!” I replied as I lay everything out. But I’ve been here for seven weeks and you haven’t offered me anything. My bulldog is the only thing I have, so I don’t understand why it’s such a huge issue for me not to do it.”
“I told him I’d do everything else you wanted, except that,” I explained. They then started to s**t on me, accusing me of not being a team player. I went out the door after saying a few choice things, one of which was “kiss my ass.” I went to the match with Rhino, and we had a wonderful day; I never heard from them again.’

Although Murdoch had a few more TNA bouts following his TV battle with Rhino, they were much less common than they had been before that match, according to the database CageMatch.net.
He went on to compete in the indie circuit until joining Billy Corgan’s NWA company in 2019, where he became a featured figure and was involved in a Worlds Championship rivalry with Nick Aldis.
In terms of the locker room, the on-screen product, and the creative flexibility he enjoys, Murdoch believes the business is a great match for him.
‘No one is dragging me back.’ Nobody is telling you “don’t do this” or “don’t do that.” In fact, they’re pushing me to push the limits a little, saying, “Be yourself!” I’ll be honest with you: I’m over over heels in love with the industry right now,’ he beams.

Another perk for Trevor in the NWA is that the actors are permitted to appear as regular people, and he insists that the business isn’t doing anything groundbreaking in that regard - they’re just going back in time.
‘We didn’t create the wheel,’ says the author. We’re simply going through the motions of what used to be done in the industry. “We don’t want you to be weak, we don’t want you to look back,” said a number of other television firms. People have good days and terrible days in real life. Sometimes we make the right choices, and sometimes we make the wrong ones - that’s real life,’ he said.
‘I know what it’s like to put in a lot of effort just to have someone tell you to f**k off - the fans get it. The fans understand what we do because they’ve been through it - it’s real life s**t.’
