The LA Lakers are in need of a Point Guard, who like to pass the ball, thus proving them to be like the Los Angeles Lakers… but, they are not the LA Lakers. However, the New York Knicks just traded for another Point Guard, and trust me, they are looking for someone too. Yes, LA, New York, and Oakland share the same Point Guard. Well, in LA, it’s the Lakers’ Damian Lillard, and in New York it’s their Iman Shumpert. Back in Oakland, however, it’s the the Warriors’ Stephen Curry. If the Warriors sign Curry, who is currently with the Knicks, they will have enough money to sign Lillard.

In Los Angeles today, there was a blockbuster trade involving the NBA’s two most iconic figures. The Los Angeles Clippers traded the two-time NBA All-Star and Portland Trailblazer to the Los Angeles Lakers, acquiring All-Star point guard Chris Paul. The Clippers got four other players, and the Lakers got four first round draft picks and a player to be named in the deal.

Damian Lillard is coming off a career year! At the age of 27, the point guard has led his Portland Trail Blazers to one of the best records in the NBA. This has earned Lillard All-NBA First Team honors, along with his first All-Star appearance, as well as a spot on the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team.. word-image-8746 The Los Angeles Lakers find themselves in a tough spot in the first round of the playoffs with a 2-3 loss against the Phoenix Suns. Without Anthony Davis in Game 5, the Lakers struggled in all areas of the court. LeBron James, 36, no longer has the strength to lead the Lakers to victory against a loaded Suns team, and that was clear last night. The Lakers will need a third superstar next season because 37-year-old LeBron James and the still-injured Anthony Davis are not getting along. There is a player who is a perfect fit for us: Damian Lillard. Lillard and the Trail Blazers are coming off a 3-2 defeat against the Denver Nuggets, and it may be time for the superstar point guard to find a new team. After all, he hasn’t reached the NBA Finals yet, despite being the second-best point guard in the world. Here’s the trade package the Lakers can offer Portland and why this deal makes sense. Commercial Package : Kentavius Caldwell-Pope, Talen Horton-Tucker, Alex Caruso, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell in exchange for Damian Lillard

Los Angeles Lakers back asfavorites

The Lakers were the big favorites to win the West before LeBron and Davis combined to lose 63 games in the regular season. With newcomers like Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell on the team, the Lakers haven’t had time to build a real team spirit. But the raw talent and dominance of LeBron James and Anthony Davis were still enough to make them favorites for the first round of the playoffs. But Davis was injured in Game 4 and missed Game 5, casting a shadow on the Lakers’ future. LeBron has clearly gotten older and can no longer lead his team to victory on his own every night. So the Lakers will need another superstar to carry the load next year. The league is too talented right now, and the Lakers need to acquire Damian Lillard. Averaging 28.8 points per game this season, Lillard is the second-best point guard in the league behind Stephen Curry. Lillard can handle the ball to relieve LeBron James, single-handedly lead the offense and is arguably the most tenacious player in the league. On a team with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, he has the best chance of winning an NBA title for the first time in his career, because he won’t be able to do anything in Portland, which may not even make it past the first round. It’s time for Lillard to drop his allegiance and follow the trend in the NBA, because LeBron and Davis will need him next year.

Portland won’t keep Lillard forever, time to invest

The Portland Trail Blazers have done well with Damian Lillard on the team, but they can’t keep him around forever. The Trail Blazers are a solid team, but it’s not a big market, meaning top players won’t consider Portland as their destination in Free Agency. The duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum also dominates the offense, but not the defense. The team has a lot of holes and will not be able to get over the hump in the West and beat the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, Jazz and Suns. At some point Damian Lillard will ask for a trade, but Portland should have a lead. They must acquire the Lakers’ most valuable players besides James and Davis to build their team for the future. Kuzma, Caruso and Horton-Tucker are long-term pieces, and Harrell could be a cornerstone of the franchise or a valuable trade for them. Portland isn’t going to win an NBA championship, so it’s time to stop being mediocre and build a better team. Damian Lillard holds all the cards in Portland, as his play sets the direction of the franchise. He is too talented to settle for an exit in the first or second round, especially when his peers are competing for wins on super teams. Lillard deserves a big market like Los Angeles and will be the favorite with James and Davis in the Western Conference, while Portland completes a very strong rebuild.

Conclusion: Lakers need Lillard, Lillard needs Lakers

Damian Lillard has already been inducted into the Hall of Fame, even though he doesn’t have an MVP or NBA Finals to his name yet. The man is one of the biggest stars of the Portland Trail Blazers and one of the most successful NBA players of recent years. In terms of shot power and offensive explosiveness, few players in NBA history can match Lillard. 6 All-Star teams and 5 NBA All-Star teams are solid accomplishments for a superstar point guard, especially when he’s known for performing well in key games. After all, his precise throws have changed the franchises of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets twice. But a player of Lillard’s caliber needs more than that, he needs an appearance in the NBA Finals and an NBA title, something he can’t achieve in Portland. The Lakers are the best option for him because they need him. LeBron will be 37 next year and approaching 40 during the season, which means he’ll need help from a superstar to stay competitive. Anthony Davies is at his best, but he’s injury prone, so Lillard can come in and take over the offense. The Lakers and Lillard will be in the NBA Finals for the next few years, and if LeBron stays healthy, the superstar point guard has a chance to retire as a multiple NBA champion in a purple and gold jersey.
