09.48 BST: Just in case you missed it, Manchester United completed the four-year purchase of Raphael Varane from Real Madrid on Saturday, which was the biggest piece of transfer news of the day.
Varane was revealed at Old Trafford before of United’s match against Leeds United, when he signed a deal until 2025 for €41 million. He was not in the squad for the game, which his new club won 5-1, since he had not yet trained with them.

Diego Costa, a former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea striker, has signed for Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro, and is ready to return to play after an eight-month layoff.
