The re-launch of The Wrong Turn is expected to take place at the theater later this month in a special one-night-only event. Saban Films, the studio behind the next step in the horror franchise, is partnering with Fathom Events for special screenings. These performances will take place on Tuesday, April 26. January at 7 p.m. local time, and tickets are on sale now. Screenings are taking place across the United States, giving horror fans a chance to see the carnage on the big screen.

Fathom Events recently put up tickets for sale for a screening of Wrong Turn. By the way, the movie is 18+, which means they won’t hesitate this time. It will also be the first time the series returns to theaters since the original’s release in 2003. Mike P. Nelson in the director’s chair. The former will include bonuses from the film. At this stage it is not clear what these bonuses will consist of. But Fatom is known for getting interviews and recording behind-the-scenes content in events.

Wrong Turn revolves around a group of friends hiking the Appalachian Trail. Eventually they meet the Foundation, a community of people who have lived in the mountains for hundreds of years. The violence begins. The reboot was written by Alan B. McElroy, who also wrote the original film. It was produced by Robert Kulzer, Constantine Film, in association with James Harris and Tea Production. The cast includes Charlotte Vega (The Tenants), Matthew Modine (Stranger Things, 47 Meters Down), Damian Maffei (Stranger Things: Prey at Night, Ghosts) and Bill Sage (Hap and Leonard).

It will likely be the first major horror movie event in 2021. The decision of whether or not to see the film in theaters is a bit tricky. This is the first entry into the franchise since Wrong Turn 6: The last resort was released in 2014. Due to the success of Halloween 2018, horror reboots are all the rage right now, at least in part. Scream, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and others are in the works, and the new Nightmare On Elm Street is also in development. If the Wrong Turn series isn’t quite on the same level as Freddy or Leatherface, it has earned its place in horror history.

Wrong Turn began in 2003, became a modest success and brought in $28 million at the box office. Starting with the wrong turn 2 of 2007: Dead End is a series of sequels that will follow each other in rapid succession over the next few years. In all the movies, a bunch of hillbillies led by the Three Fingers. Those who want to enjoy the film at home will also get a chance later this year, as a digital release is planned, although no date has been announced yet. Tickets for the premiere of Wrong Turn are on sale now at the box offices of participating theaters or at FathomEvents.com.
